Annual Report:

“Maybe there is a road ahead of it, Maybe there is a new world down the road, Walking forth is the only plight, because we didn’t come this far to come this far only.”

A heart filled with aspirations is all that we knew since the very existence of the school, and that’s what gave us the ambition of marching forward till excellence is achieved in all our endeavors. This report is comprised of the achievements made during the year gone by and at the same time sets the path for greater accomplishments in the years to come.

Honorable chief guest, guest of honor, chairman, managing trustee, and the founder of the school seated on the podium, invited dignitaries, respected parents, teachers, and my dear children. Good evening to all present here. I take this opportunity to convey my heartfelt greetings to you all and welcome you to SANKALP-2024 ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION AND HONORING ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE FEST. The esteemed institution, S. S. Kadapatti International Public School Hungund, established under Sri Mata Educational and Rural Development Trust under the chairmanship of Sri A. P. Baligar and Managing Trustee Shri Basavaraj Kadapatti, has been running successfully since 2010. The main motto of the institution is to focus on the quality of education for children through the CBSE syllabus, committed to equality and excellence in education, and moral values to develop them into better citizens.

As a regular practice followed every year, this session began with the Orientation Programme for the parents of students from Pre-KG to X. The programme made parents aware of the scheme of education we impart here at our school. A query-resolving session by our Director of Operations, Mr. Ramamurthy, illuminated the path of positive parenting.

With the sole purpose of updating teachers’ knowledge, the school hosted a series of Teachers’ Workshops. This initiative included various significant aspects like Moral Values, Life Skills by CBSE, Meditation & Stress Management, English Language, and Mathematics. Apart from this, our teachers are made a part of training sessions and workshops happening at other schools.

Participating in competitions is essential for learning the lessons of victory and defeat. Our school created such an environment through inter-school, inter-house, and inter-class competitions such as debates, Vad-Vivaad Pratiyogita, Shlok Competition, Quiz, Rangoli, Declamation, Creative Writing, Spelling Bee, Rhyme and Rhythm, Drawing, and PowerPoint competitions.

We introduced the ‘SSK Triple A Award’ in 2014, considering individual and overall student development. This award is class-wise, following the CBSE pattern, and stands for Attitude, Aptitude, and Academics. Additionally, this year we started ‘Public Speech’ in the daily assembly to help students speak publicly without fear and improve stage courage.

We conduct weekly ‘Co-curricular Activities (CCA) and monthly Co-curricular Competitions from Grade 1 to 10. These competitions build a spirit of competency and learning among the students.

“Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow.” – Anthony J. D’Angelo

Environmental Curriculum Integration:

We recognize the importance of incorporating environmental education into our curriculum. Through innovative teaching methods and interdisciplinary approaches, students are exposed to various environmental concepts from a young age. Subjects like biology, geography, and social studies are interwoven with environmental themes, fostering a holistic understanding of ecological systems and sustainability.

Practical Learning Initiatives:

We emphasize hands-on learning experiences to deepen students’ connection with nature. Regular field trips to local parks, nature reserves, and organic farms allow students to witness environmental conservation efforts firsthand, enhancing academic learning and cultivating a sense of appreciation and stewardship for the environment.

Eco-Friendly Infrastructure:

We are committed to reducing our ecological footprint through sustainable infrastructure practices. The school campus features solar panels for renewable energy generation, rainwater harvesting systems to conserve water resources, and waste segregation facilities to promote recycling and waste reduction. By incorporating eco-friendly features into our infrastructure, we set an example for students on the importance of sustainable living.

Community Engagement:

We actively engage students in various outreach programs, recognizing the significance of community involvement in environmental conservation. Collaborative efforts with local NGOs, environmental clubs, and government agencies allow students to participate in tree plantation drives, clean-up campaigns, and awareness workshops. These initiatives benefit the environment and foster a sense of social responsibility among students.

Partnerships with Leading Institutions:

We leverage partnerships with esteemed educational institutions in the Bagalkot district to amplify our impact on environmental awareness. Collaborative projects, joint workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions are conducted regularly to exchange ideas and best practices in environmental education, strengthening the collective effort toward nurturing environmentally conscious citizens.

Sports develop physical and mental strength in students. Daily physical exercise is essential for students to stay healthy and improve their emotional fitness. Sports should be a major part of the school curriculum because they help teach various skills like leadership, patience, teamwork, and social skills.

Our school conducted the Sankalp Annual Sports Meet 2023-24 on 22nd and 23rd December 2023. Athletics and group games were arranged house-wise to encourage a sportive spirit among our children. Students were awarded Silver and Bronze medals and certificates from dignitaries and teachers.

To cope with this competitive society, it is necessary for our students to stay updated with current affairs. Numerous Quiz contests were conducted to develop their general knowledge and intellectuality.

Field trips are an integral part of our curriculum, arranged to historical monuments in and around Bagalkot and Bijapur districts. Our junior students visit government sectors like Post offices, Banks, and Fire stations. Some students visited the coir industry, poultry farms, and nurseries.
